Olympian champion Mikaela Shiffrin opened up about the loss of her father Jeff Shiffrin. He was an avid musician, playing the piano, guitar, trumpet, and french horn. Jeff is survived by his wife Eileen, daughter Mikaela, son Taylor, and his fiance Kristina Oslund. 

Though being a full-time physician he still managed to spend time traveling and also support his kid’s athletic endeavors. Jeff also greatly expanded UC Health’s regional anesthesia program which is widely used in today’s date. 

In addition, he was also an associate professor at the University of Colorado Health Science Center where he brought cutting-edge ultrasound technology.

Alongside his work, he also pursued his interest in outdoor activities such as windsurfing in Maui.

Mikaela Shiffrin’s father Jeff Shiffrin died due to a head injury and the cause of death is an accident. He took his last breath when he was around his family.

Mikaela broke the news of her dad’s demise on the Internet through her Twitter. He was born on March 8, 1954, in Dover, New Jersey to his parents Betty and Alan Shiffrin.

Growing up, he excelled at school alongside sports and also always challenged himself. Journalists U.S. Ski Team and sports lovers will always remember him as an avid photographer. 

Reportedly, Jeff was around his family in his home during his last hours. He along with his wife Eileen made the Vail their home decades ago where they grew their family and raised their child.

According to the sources, Jeff Shiffrin lost his life after he suffered a brain injury due to an accident at the age of 65. Reportedly, they took him to a Denver area hospital where he died.

Jeff took his last breath surrounded by family on Sunday, Feb 2. 2020. Mikaela had taken a weekend off from World Cup action at the time.

Moreover, his son Taylor and also his wife Eileen were also with him at his last moment. Many people from all across the country paid tribute after the news broke on the Internet.
