A man took hostages at a Synagogue in Texas and kept them for around 12 hours. According to the sources, four people were taken hostages by the armed man that included a rabbi as well.
Following that, he was shot and killed by the police officers. The deceased man is recognized as Malik Faisal Akram, a British citizen who had recently visited the United States.

Sources have revealed that Malik Faisal is a Muslim by religion. He used to reside in Blackburn and had several criminal charges in the country as well.
Talking about his ethnicity, we don’t know much about his family tree at the moment. The hostage taker’s brother has released a statement confirming that the deceased individual is actually his brother.
Following the attack in Synagogue in Texas, he was killed by police officers. The hostage-taker passed away at the age of 44.
Moreover, the rest of his family are currently in Blackburn, United Kingdom. However, not all of them have revealed their identity just yet.

Malik Faisal Akram Family: Parents And Children To Know
Malik Faisal Akram’s family have come forward to identify him as the hostage-taker in Texas.
Speaking to the British press, his brother, Gulbar said that the man responsible for taking people hostages in Texas was his brother. He also added that his brother was dealing with some “mental issues” that led him to perform those actions.
More details on his parents, wife, or children remain under review for the time being.

Malik Faisal Akram Prior Charges: Is He A Terrorist?
Malik Faisal Akram had prior criminal charges in the United Kingdom as well.
As per reports, he went to the US just a few days before the Synagogue attack. It is still unsure if the 44-year-old is linked with any terrorist group or not.
