Cavallo said on his Twitter, “Today I am ready to speak about something personal that I’m finally comfortable to talk about in my life. I am proud to publicly announce that I am gay.“

Moreover, he spoke about his journey and experience being a gay footballer. The 21-year-old said he had ‘felt the need to hide’ growing up because of getting ashamed and believed there would be no place in sport for him.
