Burke Shelley died at the age of 71 at Heath Hospital in Cardiff. Though that exact cause of death is not disclosed, he was suffering from an aortic aneurysm.

His death news was announced by his daughter Ela Shelley in the Facebook group. “It is with deep sadness that I unveil the death of my father, John Burke Shelley,” she wrote.
“He died in his sleep this evening at Heath Hospital in Cardiff, his birthplace. He was 71 years old at the time.
Please be considerate of the family during this difficult time.”
We suppose aneurysm didn’t let him live, long enough for him. However, his wish to not spend his last moment bound in the wheelchair came true.

It has been there for more than six months, and Burke has even declined to undergo the surgery. As it could result in irreversible spinal damage, and he doesn’t want to waste the time he’s left bedbound or in a wheelchair.
He was diagnosed with a similar problem a decade earlier in 2010, while he was on a tour to Europe. It was a six-centimeter aortic aneurysm, which is an unusual swelling of the main artery that supplies blood to the body.
However, because he had not aged much at the time, he was successfully treated. But when the doctor suggest operating this time, he immediately denied them.
He stated, “I’ll be 70 next month and want to enjoy the rest of my life without being crippled.”
Apart from Aneurysm, Burke also has Stickler syndrome, a genetic disorder that can cause severe vision, hearing, and joint problems.
