After an incident early Sunday, a University of Colorado football player faces assault charges.
According to 9News, he was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree assault for punching the ma, which caused the man to bleed.
Second-degree assault is a felony of the fourth degree, and third-degree assault is a misdemeanor of the first degree.

According to the Daily Camera, he has denied punching the man, claiming that he yelled at him during a heated argument but never touched him.
They claimed that another man assisted the woman in returning to the address, resulting in a verbal altercation between Lee and the woman. Lee told cops that he yelled at the man but did not strike him.
