The star host, Rachel has occasionally entertained other offers in the past and has increasingly expressed openness to exiting when her deal ends, mentioning a desire to spend more time with her family.
Maddow has been intrigued by opportunities in the streaming and podcasting space. This will allow her to have more freedom, time for her personal life, and for other projects.
So we may not see her when MSNBC viewers tune in next year.
So far nothing has been decided yet but she still has an excellent relationship with them.

Nicolle Wallace might be the one to substitute Rachel. She has become one of the most popular personalities on the network in recent years.
Although there also has been speculation that Maddow might not leave the channel altogether.
She is reported to have signed a new long-term deal with NBCUniversal in August, one that will see her develop other types of content and programming for MSNBC and other NBCU channels and platforms.

But the agreement indicates that she will continue to host “The Rachel Maddow Show” weeknights at 9 pm ET for the time being. Though that’s not the long-term plan.
