In January 2011, he was sentenced to 32 years in prison. In October 2005, he was interviewed twice by the authorities, and his multimillion-dollar home in Hawaii was searched. Later the same month, he was arrested.
On November 8, 2006, a federal grand jury in Honolulu returned an 18-count superseding indictment against Gowadia. His trial was scheduled for July 10, 2007, but, received a continuance until February 12, 2008.
Authorities said, Gowadia got at least $110000 from the sale of military secrets and showed his Chinese contacts how his stealth cruise missile design would be effective against US air-to-air missiles.
He is still behind the bar. He moved from India to the US for postgraduate work in the 1960s and became a US citizen about a decade later. He retired from Northrop for health reasons in 1986.
Noshir Gowadia is married to his wife, Cheryl. They reside at their home in Haiku. When the FBI went to search his home on October 13 back in 2005, his wife declined to comment. Probably she didn’t believe what his husband was accused of.
Gowadia and his spouse own an engineering and consulting company. When he was arrested the agent threaten him that if he did not cooperate they would arrest his wife, his adult son, and his adult daughter.
One of the agents then laughed and stated that of course his wife and kids would be found innocent in a year or two, ‘but in the meantime, their lives will be destroyed.’ It was a hard time for Gowadia.
Noshir Gowadia has been featured on Wikipedia’s official page. He is a married man and got children. But no details are found on regard to when he got married and how many children he has.

When he was arrested his family said the defense intended to appeal against the sentence. His son Ashton said, “My father would never, ever do anything to intentionally hurt this county,”
“We hope the conviction will be overturned, and he’ll be able to go home.” Gowadia was born in a Parsi family in Mumbai, India. Moreover, he migrated to the United States and became a naturalized US citizen.
