Marie Osmond’s son Michael Blosil committed suicide in 2010 at the age of 18. He was a first-year Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising student, struggling with substance abuse and depression since his parents’ divorce in 2007.
Later on in 2010, in Los Angeles, he died after jumping from his eighth-floor apartment. He left a note near the end of this story stating that he chose to commit suicide after a life-long battle with depression.

He was only 18 years old. Marie told People magazine in March 2009 that he was out of rehab and doing well.
Blosil expressed despair recalling the conversation she has with her son.
“When I heard him say to me, ‘I have no friends,’ it reminded me of when I was depressed because you extremely feel so alone,” Osmond explained.
Osmond became sentimental as she described the conversation.
“I told him, ‘Mike, I’ll be there Monday and everything will be fine.’ Depression, on the other hand, does not wait until Monday “She stated.

Michael Blosil, the son of Marie Osmond, committed suicide by jumping from the roof of his Los Angeles apartment building. The cause of her child’s suicide was later revealed to be depression.

Because of his abstinence, the pressure was heavily bullied up in his mind, until the time he committed suicide.
He was even taking help from rehab, but it was not enough to save him.
Osmond stated that she had documented the bullying. “I have the texts – they’re horrific, and I never took legal action against them. But I can tell you, sincerely, that I believe that was a big part of him feeling overwhelmed and like he didn’t fit in.”
She stated. “I never pursued legal action against the three children.”

Marie Osmond remarried her first husband Steve Craig in 2011, 26 years after their divorce. Osmond has eight children in total, three of whom are biologically her own and the other five are adopted.

After her first divorce with Steve Craig in October 1985, she married Brian Blosil on October 28, 1986, at the Jordan River Temple in Utah.
Rachael and Matthew were Osmond and Blosil’s, children. Following that, she adopted five children, Jessica, Michael, Brandon, Brianna, and Abigail.
All of her children are grown up now and are living their life independently.
Jessica, her daughter, came out as bisexual in 2009 and married her longtime girlfriend, Sara, ten years later.
